The Club was saddened to have learned of the passing of former Stenhousemuir player Ernie Collumbine. Ernie passed away on Wednesday 19th June following a long illness.
Born in Carronshore in 1938, Ernie started his football career with Bo’ness United before joining Stenhousemuir in March 1958. He was a key player for the Warriors for over four seasons.
Following his spell at Ochilview, he played for East Stirlingshire, St. Johnstone and Clydebank.
Everyone at Stenhousemuir would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Ernie’s family at this sad time.
Funeral arrangements:
For those who wish to pay their last respects and help the family celebrate Ernie’s life, the funeral will take place on Thursday 27th June with the following arrangements-
2pm – A lone piper will leave from from Symington Place, Carronshore.
2.15pm – Service at the Dawson Mission, 693 Carron Road, Bainsford. FK2 7SR.
3.15pm – Burial at Larbert Cemetery, Stenhousemuir. FK5 4JA.
All are then very welcome to join the family afterwards at the Plough Hotel, 507 Main Street, Stenhousemuir FK5 4EY to share memories of Ernie.
Please be aware that only family flowers will be collected on the day however any donations in aid of Alzheimers would be much appreciated.
