Stenhousemuir Ladies vs East Fife Violet
Sunday 28th June: Ochilview Park, 2pm Kick Off
Our Ladies Team welcome East Fife Violets to Ochilview this Sunday for the final league fixture of the first half of the season and the squad are all eagerly anticipating the match.
It will have been a fortnight since the ladies turned in a fantastic performance againstForfar Farmington Development in what the squad coach Jamie Kirk hopes was a sign of a change of tide for the squad. Jamie had this to say of his squads performance "The girls have put in a number of good performances this season without really getting the results they deserve. Our last outing was our best performance of the season and I've now challenged the team to show the consistency that we've been lacking. The girls are determined to end the first half of the season on a high and I've got real belief in them all".
One of the highlights of the Forfar game was a fantastic double from winger Rachel Hunt who had this to say about the game "It was a great team performance and everyone fought really hard. On a personal note I was delighted to score two goals, but we are all obviously disappointed not to have won the game".
Team Captain Natalie Wilson added the following in a look ahead to the weekend "After a free week last weekend the girls have been training hard ahead of the last competitive fixture of the first half of the season. It's been up and down in terms of results so far but the girls are starting to gel together now so we are optimistic for the second half of the season. The game against East Fife will be close but as with every game we are looking for all 3 points.
If you're missing your football fix this weekend why not come down to Ochilview to support the ladies. Entry is free for all.
