We are delighted to report that the first intake of Football Fans in Training at Ochilview, delivered with the support of the SPFL Trust and the Scottish Government, has been a fantastic success. William Hoggan, Head of Community Football, had this to say about the programme:

"The FFIT programme has been excellent from week 1 and I personally look forward to delivering another intake in the coming year.  The group of men who took part all achieved excellent results with every one of them now healthier having lost weight during the programme.  In addition to attending their weekly FFIT session at the football club, the group also attend a spin session delivered at local partner Tryst Community Sports Centre, and a couple of the guys take part in out growing walking football programme.  FFIT has achieved a fantastic legacy, with the group continuing to attend Ochilview each week as part of our Extra Time programme, having successfully completed the FFIT course."

Jamie Kirk, Community Development Director for the Football Club also added:

"Football Fans in Training was a programme we had been eager to get involved in for some time, and I'm delighted that the first intake has gone so well.  I'd like to extend a massive well done to the group who collectively lost 76 inches off of their trouser waist size and an incredible 10 and a half stone in body weight.  I'd also like to thank the Scottish Government for their support of a fantastic project and the SPFL Trust for their continued support of the football club in our attempts to engage our entire local community"

The club looks forward to delivering FFIT again in the future and if you would be interested in getting involved please email community@stenhousemuirfc.com.
