Warriors in the Community’s 2000s squad last night clinched the FVFDA U13s League Title with one game remaining. They beat a strong Grahamston team 5-3 at the Lido.
This season is the first season the boys have played competitively for trophies and their first season at 11-a-side. With only 4 points dropped all season and a 14 game winning streak in the league, stretching back to 10 November 2012, the U13s were deserving champions having sat at the top since 23 February.
This season is sure to be a memorable one for each of the players and coaching staff after a league title, two semi finals and a respectable 5th place at an international Easter tournament in Amsterdam.
The trophy and medals will be handed out at the post season awards ceremony.
