The Final of the Ramsdens Dash for Cash was held today at Almondvale Stadium, Livingston, where the Ramsdens Challenge Cup Final is being held this Sunday.
Our player, Grant Plenderlieth, was one of the 5 finalists that posted the fastest times in their heats.
After two false starts due to the starter’s gun failing to fire, Grant was slightly slow off the line but by 40 metres he had caught up with the other contestants and powered past them to win the event by a metre in a time of 6.9 seconds running into a head wind.
Grant has won himself a cheque for £500 and the club is £2,500 better off in sponsorship from Ramsdens.
Grant will be presented with his winner’s cheque at the Ramsdens Challenge Cup Final on Sunday.
