Ross Meechan has extended his stay at Stenhousemuir, he has put pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal

Ross Meechan said: ““This is a fantastic club and being part of our League Two title-winning season was a real career highlight for me.

We’ve started well in League One, and everyone is pushing for more success.

This will take me into my 7th season at the Warriors, extending my stay at Ochilview was a straightforward decision for me.”

Gary Naysmith added: “I am delighted that we have managed to extend Ross’s stay at the club for another season at least. Ross totally deserves his new contract extension due to his performance levels this season and I actually believe that he is playing to a higher and more consistent standard than he did last year. He is one of the main leaders in the changing room and has the respect of everyone at the club. He is a very good professional and makes sure that standards are kept high both on and off the pitch and that is a great help to the coaching staff.”

Chairman, Dan Wharton, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to announce Ross Meechan’s contract extension with the club for another year. Ross has been an exceptional asset to us both on and off the pitch, and his leadership qualities are invaluable.

Gary’s comments perfectly capture the impact Ross has had this season—raising his game to an even higher standard and setting the benchmark for professionalism and commitment. Players like Ross are the heartbeat of our club, and his influence in the dressing room and on the pitch cannot be overstated.

Securing his services for another season is a huge boost as we look to continue building on the progress we’ve made. I know our fans will share in the excitement of this news, and we look forward to seeing Ross lead the team with the same passion and determination he’s always shown as our Vice Captain.”
