Stenhousemuir welcome Forfar Athletic to Ochilview for the first fixture of 2024 in the cinch league two tomorrow.

The Warriors will be hoping to maintain their winning run and make it ten wins on the bounce, a run that started away at Forfar back at the start of November. Stenhousemuir will hope to build on their 2-1 win away at New Douglas Park against Clyde last Saturday. A Matty Aitken brace saw the Warriors go into a 2-goal lead before Logan Dunachie got a late consolation for the home side.

Gary Naysmith previewed the game saying “they drew against East Fife last weekend, but we’ll prepare like we always do for the game. We’ve got a really fit group, probably the fittest I’ve managed to be honest, so we’ll prepare like we always do.”

Matty Aitken also previewed the game saying “It’s good to be at home in front of our own fans but we’ll prepare like we always do. The trainings been good and hard so hopefully we can go out and have another good performance.”

Ross Taylor will miss tomorrow’s match as he will serve a suspension after his sending off away at Clyde last week.

Forfar come into the match off the back of 2 games unbeaten, the beat Peterhead away a couple of weeks ago and they drew with East Fife 0-0 at home last weekend.

The two sides have already met twice this campaign, the first was on the opening day of the season where a 0-0 draw was played out. The second game was up at Station Park where the Warriors were 3-1 victors.

The Warriors edge the head-to-head record with 86 wins to Forfar’s 78. 56 of Stenhousemuir’s wins have come at Ochilview.

The away side will be without right back Roberto Nditi who has been called up to represent Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Stenhousemuir will have to watch for Forfar’s attacking midfielder, Seb Ross who is the Loons top scorer this season.
