After a sensational 5-star victory against Stranraer for the Warriors on Saturday, they now travel to Midlothian to take on Bonnyrigg Rose in what is a crucial top of the table clash in the cinch league 2.

Goals from Matty Aitken, Gregor Buchanan and Adam Brown secured the 3 points for the Warriors as we ran out 5-0 victors and moved up to second place in the league.  The gaffer is under no illusions to how difficult a game it will be in Midlothian next week. “I think it will be a really hard game. The games we played against them last year when we played, I think we won away 1-0 and drew here at Ochilview so there isn’t a lot between the two sides.”

Ross Taylor also previewed the match on Saturday saying that the boys need to keep up the hard work in training. “We’ll come back in on Tuesday. Keep working hard. We’ll see how they’ve been playing. Our away form has been good so far this season so we will look to continue that.”

Bonnyrigg Rose currently sit top of the league, just ahead of Stenhousemuir on goals scored. The Rose picked up their first defeat of the season after they conceded late on up in Peterhead where they were defeated 2-1. Apart from that defeat, it has been a great start to the season for Bonnyrigg Rose with wins against Clyde, Forfar, and Elgin and draws with Stranraer and Dumbarton.

The Warriors will have to watch out for Neil Martynuik, who already has 5 goals in 6 league games for the Rose. Including a brace in their 5-1 victory v Eligin City.

Last season was the first time the Warriors had ever faced Robbie Horn’s men and we are undefeated in the fixture. We won both games at New Dundas Park winning 4-2 and more recently 1-0.  We drew twice at Ochilview as well with the scores being 1-1 and 0-0.
