I am delighted to announce that Gordon Thompson will now take over as the Chairman of the football club. Gordon is an ex-chair of the football club, knows the club very well and will be well known to many of you.
After a period away to concentrate on his own business, Gordon had come back onto the board a few months ago. He now has the opportunity and the time to take on the role of Chair once again and lead us for the foreseeable future.
I am delighted with the appointment from a personal point of view, as are the rest of the board members. It gives us a chance to reset ourselves behind a new vision, one which I am sure Gordon will relay to you in the fullness of time.
I am sure you will join me in congratulating Gordon and wishing him every success in the role.
