Stenhousemuir travel to New Dundas Park to take on Bonnyrigg Rose in the cinch League 2 tomorrow.

The Warriors will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing 6-1 defeat against Clyde. The Warriors opened the scoring through Euan O’Reilly in the 24th minute but they were then hit for six by Clyde, two goals in the first half and then four in the second which included braces for Martin Rennie and Jordan Allan.

Gary Naysmith previewed the Bonnyrigg game saying “As I say, it’s easy to be part of a group that’s won every week. It’s harder to be part of the group when you’ve had a bad result today. But I like those challenges, and I’m sure the players will as well. And we’ll do everything we can to get a positive result against Bonnyrigg.”

Gregor Buchanan also previewed the match saying “We need to be much better than what we were last week. Bonnyrigg have been there or there abouts this season and they’re still pushing for the playoffs. We know its going to be a hard game. We need to be positive in ourselves and get back to winning way.”

Stenhousemuir should have a full squad to pick from this Saturday after Nicky Jamieson passed a late fitness test last week.

Bonnyrigg Rose are off the back of a 2-1 defeat away at The Spartans., two quickfire goals midway through the first half from The Spartans was enough for victory even after Neil Martynuick’s second half penalty.

The Rose and Stenhousemuir have played out two even matches already this season. The Warriors have been able to win both. The first victory came at New Dundas Park in September when an Edin Lynch header separated the two sides.

The last match was at a snowy Ochilview in December where again the Warriors were 1-0 victors. Matty Aitken got on the end of an Adam Brown free kick midway through the first half to give the Warriors the victory.
