After two consecutive away games, the league leaders, Stenhousemuir return to Ochilview tomorrow where they take on Clyde in the cinch league two for the third time this season.
The Warriors will be hoping to build on their 2-2 draw up in Elgin last weekend. Nat Wedderburn opened the scoring for Stenhousemuir, but Elgin responded with two goals from Russel Dingwall and Brian Cameron. The Warriors did get an equaliser in the second half through Euan O’Reilly to make sure that they came back down the road with a point.
Nicky Jamieson should be back in the squad after missing out against Elgin last week.
Clyde come into the match having played twice since Stenhousemuir’s last game. They defeated Dumbarton at home on Saturday with a brace from Martin Rennie. The Bully Wee also played om Tuesday against Forfar at New Douglas Park. They were defeated 2-0.
The two sides have already met twice this season, the first encounter came at Ochilview at the end of September. Stenhousemuir went two goals up through Gregor Buchanan and Matty Yates. But Clyde pulled the Warriors back with two goals late on in the match through Logan Dunachie and Martin Rennie were the players that got the goal. Clyde also had a couple of good chance to take all three points towards the end of that match.
The other encounter was right at the end of 2023 at New Douglas Park wher Stenhousemuir were 2-1 victors. Matty Aitken scored a brace either side of half time but right at the death Clyde got a consolation through Logan Dunachie.
Having already scored against The Warriors once, Martin Rennie will be a player for the Stenhousemuir defence to look out for. He has 8 goals this season.
