Stenhousemuir travels to Hamilton to take on Clyde in the cinch league two tomorrow as they look to make it nine wins on the bounce.
The Warriors extended their gap at the top of the league to eight points after their victory against Elgin last Saturday. Goals from Matty Yates and Matty Aitken saw the Warriors run out 2-0 victors.
Brown Ferguson previewed tomorrow’s game saying “they got an excellent draw last Saturday, getting two late goals. But it is up to us to maintain our good run of form and hopefully make it nine on the bounce.”
Matty Yates also previewed the Clyde game saying “We’ll prepare the exact same as we do for every other. But it is a different game. The pitch will be bigger which adds a different dimension to the match.”
The two sides met at Ochilview back at the start of the season where a 2-2 draw was played out. Clyde came back from two goals by Gregor Buchanan and Matty Yates down to earn a point in the match and could have easily won it late on.
Clyde come into the match off the back of a 4-4 draw away at Dumbarton where they scored twice in added time with goals from Leslie and Dunachie to earn a draw.
Stenhousemuir don’t have the best head-to-head record against Clyde, having only won 14 and being defeated 34 times with 20 draws also played out.
Clyde haven’t had the best season so far; they currently sit three points adrift at the bottom of the league and have only won once all season.
The Warriors will have to be weary of Martin Rennie who has four goals in all competitions this season.
