The Men’s Walking Football group have continued their fantastic work by fundraising in memory of the late William (Bill) Doig, who passed away in September last year of prostate cancer.

They raised £3,000 through a Just Giving page and also held a Walking Football tournament at Ochilview Park to help raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK – which was attended by 80 people from the Forth Valley region. Bill’s wife Adeline was on hand to receive the cheque.

Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men and affects 52,000 men per year on average. Exercise is a proven way of helping to prevent prostate cancer. Our Walking Football programmes run on a weekly basis. You can read more on them here.
