Warriors in the Community, the charitable arm of Stenhousemuir Football Club, are delighted to announce that we have joined the European Football for Development Network (EFDN).
The EFDN supports professional football clubs, leagues and associations within the UEFA territory to embed social responsibility and community engagement at the centre of their operations. With our focus on using football to positively impact social change in our community, the EFDN were keen for Warriors in the Community to join the network.
Hubert Rovers, CEO of EFDN: “I’m happy to welcome Stenhousemuir FC and its foundation Warriors in the Community to the Network. They are the 16th Scottish organisation to join EFDN which shows the immense role football clubs in Scotland fulfil within their communities. No matter how big or small, we can all learn from each other and I’m sure that Stenhousemuir FC will contribute in a great way by sharing their own journeys.”
By joining the network, we will share best practices and challenges with colleagues from clubs across Europe, including FC Barcelona Foundation, Juventus and PSV Eindhoven. A full list of the 153 member clubs can be found here – EFDN Member Clubs.
Blair Cremin, Head of Charity at Warriors in the Community: “Joining the EFDN family is important because it allows us to share our work with likeminded people, who like us believe football can be used to impact positive social change.
As a charity we want to continually improve to ensure we are serving our community to the best of our ability. Learning from others as part of the EFDN will help us to achieve this.
We also believe that we can add value to the other members by sharing stories of the great work that is undertaken by our staff and volunteers on a weekly basis. We are there to learn but also to positively contribute to the development of the other 153 members.” You can learn more above EFDN by visiting their website or visit their social media channels.
