Warriors Wanted – Do you have the vision & drive to take on an exciting new community challenge?

To help our community thrive, develop, and grow, Stenhousemuir Football Club have established a new charity which will build on the work carried out by the club’s Warriors in the Community programme. Stenhousemuir FC will always be a club that puts our community at the heart of decision making and as we embark on our new Charity adventure, we want to strengthen and grow our team, bringing new talent and skills on board, to ensure Stenhousemuir tops the league of thriving communities.

Having secured our official Charity status, we are now recruiting a number of positions to our Board of Trustees  and invite expressions of interest from those who may wish to join us as we kick off the next leg of our community campaign.

We will be looking for a variety of skills, expertise, and connections from our Trustees, as we focus on different elements of community enhancement. If you think you can play a part in helping our charity and our community to become a success, please read on for more information or contact us directly on 01324 5625992 / Fiona.kennedy@stenhousemuirfc.com

We would be delighted to hear from you.

Our Vision

The Club’s Vision is ‘To be leaders in our community and inspire our fans by being a successful football club that provides opportunities for everyone to participate in sport, achieve their full potential and be positive active citizens’. The Charity will continue to work closely with the Football Club and will therefore mirror this approach, while taking it to new and more innovative levels that transcend the power of football and sport.

Successes to build upon…

Warriors in the Community currently provides a pathway of participation for life from nursery to retirement and positively impacts the lives of over 3,000 people every week and over 10,000 individuals annually including some of the most disadvantaged in society through its Community Inclusion programme. With the community at the heart of decision making, in March 2019 we introduced our Community Help Initiative programme to support the people within the local area during The Covid-19 Pandemic.

Since then, we have had over 230 volunteers volunteer their time for over 28,000 hours and they have helped to support over 350+ households, delivered over 10,000 meals and carried out over 6,000 shopping trips

Next Steps – Growing the Charity

After extensive consultation across existing participants, programmes and the wider community, the charity aims to build on our existing activity and experience to grow and develop community health and wellbeing. We will do so by introducing unique and creative programmes, fostering relationships with new partners and focusing on what the community needs to thrive.

The Charity aims to;

  • Advance participation in sport and physical activity in the community
  • Advance the health and wellbeing of those in the community.
  • Advance and promote environmental protection and conservation by providing educational and participatory programmes which are fully integrated into our vision for our community
  • Ensure all programmes are fully inclusive and diverse of the local community
  • Provide facilities to the local community which are safe
