Warriors in the Community (WitC) are offering Free Taster Sessions in January to help promote their Soccer Centres in 2016. WitC Mini Maroons and Young Maroons Classes are run mid-week and on a Saturday and WitC are offering every child 2 free sessions to go along and give it a try.
Head of Community William Hoggan said “It’s important that the children are having fun in all our sessions as well as being challenged and improving each week. We have spent a lot of time in December creating new coaching curriculum’s for our Mini Maroons Pre-School Programme and Young Maroons 5-15 year old programme. We can’t wait to deliver our new sessions and see the children improve and of course have fun. Offering Free Football in January will hopefully get more children along to the classes and playing more football”
WitC deliver pre school football sessions on a Tuesday 5-6pm and Saturday 9-10am, 10-11am and 11-12pm at Larbert High School. These sessions are for boys and girls aged 2-4 years old. All sessions are aimed at introducing the children to football and multi sports focusing on developing the child’s basic motor skills and social skills. All Mini Maroons sessions are delivered indoor at Larbert High School.
Young Maroons programme for boys is delivered on a Wednesday 4-5pm (5-9 year old classes) and 5-6pm (10-15 year old classes) and a Saturday 9-10am (5 years) 10-11am (6 years) 11-12.15pm (7-9 years) 12.15-1.30pm (10-15 years old)
Girls Young Maroons classes are delivered on a Wednesday from 4-5pm (5-12 years old) and 5-6pm for our under 9 s and under 11s girls teams. All Young Maroons sessions are outdoor at Ochilview Park.
William Hoggan added “Our Young Maroons programme is the Heart and Soul of the Community Programme at Stenhousemuir Football Club. Children attending the classes currently are improving every week and so many of them have now progressed into our Community Select Teams. Including 18 children at our New under 7s age group (2009s) “

Mini Maroons (2-4 years old) – 12th and 19th January, 5pm – 6pm at Larbert High School & 16th and 23rd January from 9am – 12pm at Larbert High School
Young Maroons (5-14 years old) – 20th and 27th January 4pm – 5pm or 5pm – 6pm at Ochilview & 23rd and 30th January 9am – 1:30pm at Ochiliview.
Girls (5-12 years old) – 20th and 27th January 4pm – 5pm or 5pm – 6pm at Ochilview.
