Stenhousemuir FC is delighted to launch 'On the Road', our new initiative for season ticket holders of visiting teams to Ochilview.
'On the Road' is targeted at fans from the other 9 clubs that Stenhousemuir will face in the SPFL League 1 this season, 2015/16. We appreciate that a number of those fans will hold season tickets for their home clubs, and many of them may not travel to away games.
This new initiative, believed to the first of its kind in Scotland, will offer those fans reduced price entry at Ochilview for league fixtures when their supported team is playing.
Instead of the normal gate price, holders of away team season tickets will gain entry to Ochilview for just £10. This is equivalent to the price that home supporters pay for each game through their season ticket.
The initiative rewards those fans who have supported their own clubs, but it is hoped that the initiative will see an increased crowd at Ochilview.
Stenhousemuir FC has written to all teams in League 1 to make them aware of the new initiative. It is hoped that some of those clubs may be willing to offer a reciprocal arrangement and set a similar pricing offer to season ticket holders of Stenhousemuir.
Bigger attendances, a louder atmosphere, and a better deal for all fans is what Scottish football needs. We hope that 'On the Road' is eventually welcomed and supported by all clubs in Scotland.
NB: All under-16s from visiting teams will gain free entry to Ochilview when accompanied by an adult. Any concessions who would normally pay below the new £10 charge will continue to pay the lower rate.
