Stenhousemuir FC welcomes Hearts under-20s to Ochilview
Hearts Under-20s will have a new home this season after the two clubs reached an agreement for the young Hearts pros to play their home games at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview Park.
The Wee Jambos are delighted to be able to take advantage of the newly upgraded all-weather surface on offer at Ochilview as Hearts continue to press ahead with its restructuring of their already successful Football Academy.
Speaking about the news, U20s Player Development Manager Jack Ross said: “We’re delighted to taking our U20s to Ochilview for the upcoming season. We’re really looking forward to this next exciting chapter in our youth development. The surface at Ochilview will be beneficial to allowing our young players to develop the style of play that we want to integrate throughout the club at all levels and it will provide them with the continuity that they need to progress.
“We can’t wait to get started.”
David Reid, Director at Stenhousemuir FC said: “We’re delighted to welcome Hearts under-20s to Ochilview. The club recently renewed and upgraded the all-weather surface and it is now one of the top playing pitches in Scotland. We’re delighted that this significant investment has been a key driver in attracting other clubs to use our great facilities.
“We have always had a great relationship with Hearts and were delighted to welcome Gary Oliver and Jack Hamilton into the Stenhousemuir squad on loan spells from Hearts during recent seasons. This latest agreement will only strengthen the relationship between us and be mutually beneficial to both clubs over the months ahead.
“As the fixtures will be open to the public, local football fans will be able to come and watch the Hearts lads in action. This adds to the strong offering of sporting entertainment available to the local community at Ochilview Park.”
