The Forth Valley Football Academy (FVFA) is in the process of recruiting an individual to the post of Welfare and Child Protection Officer. The FVFA is the first regional elite football academy in Scotland compromising a partnership between Falkirk FC, Stenhousemuir FC, East Stirlingshire FC, The Scottish FA and Stirling University.
The Academy provides training, sports science and medical provision for talented young players from the ages of U10-17. The Academy is a 4 star ‘elite’ level academy that participate in the Club Academy Scotland elite games programme- The highest level of youth football in Scotland.
The Academy also provides a high level of welfare support to each and every one of the young players within the programme. It is therefore this role for which the Academy is seeking applications for.
The suitable individual will ideally meet all of the following person specifications;
1. Background in school education
2. Experience of working with young people in an education or learning environment
3. An interest in football
4. Flexibility as required to work up to 3 evenings per week (16 hours in total)
5. An understanding of child protection policies and PVG applications
The academy is therefore seeking applications from enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with a real desire to support the learning and education of young people in a football environment.
