The club would like to thank our Staff, Management, Players and Supporters that were able to spare the time to attend the funeral of player Kyle (Doc) Doherty today, it was much appreciated by the Board that in excess of 35 Stenhousemuir FC Players, ex players, Staff, Management and Supporters who were able to make the journey through to Johnstone to show their respect to Kyle and his family in really horrendous weather conditions.
The funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners from all walks of Kyle's life including our club and the other clubs that he had played for during his juvenile career. It was obvious that he had been held in high regard by all in attendance.
The club would also like to thank Stirling Albion Director, John Hunter of Hunters Coaches, who on hearing about the tragic death of Kyle, immediately offered to provide one of his coaches at his expense to take our party to the funeral.
It was a very generous gesture and was very much appreciated by all at Stenhousemuir FC.
