Kenny Shiels has been appointed Head of Coaching at Forth Valley Football Academy.

Shiels who has previously worked with Morton, Kilmarnock, Tranmere Rovers and The Irish FA brings with him a wealth of experience in developing young elite players.

The Forth Valley Football Academy, based at the University of Stirling, enters its second year of the programme, bringing together the best players from Falkirk, Stenhousemuir and East Stirling youth programmes.

Shiels will oversee all football content within the academy, focusing on player and coach development.

Shiels commented, "I'm very much looking forward to working as hard as we can to maximise the potential of each individual in the programme, not only developing the football player but also the person, linking in with education and welfare programme delivered by the academy".
