The club appeared today in front of the Scottish Football League Board to answer the charge of playing an ineligible player in 3 matches recently.
After listening to the Football Clubs explanation of how the irregularity happened, the SFL Board accepted the reasons behind the happening and the clubs apology. The Board however deemed the transgression to be worthy of a fine and censure and subsequently handed out the club an immediate £1,000 fine and £1,000 suspended till the end of season 2011-12, warning against any further irregularities.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the SFA handed the club an immediate £1,000 fine for taking manager, David Irons, from Threave Rovers prior to our Scottish Cup tie against them as we had breached SFA Article 104.
We now hope we can put the above incidents behind us and concentrate on trying to retain our position in the SFL Second Division for next season.
